The Light of Christ

January 19, 2014 //  by Shannon Kelly

Fifth Sunday after the Epiphany
Scripture: Isaiah 58:1-9a(9b-12)

Isaiah continues the theme of Justice.  The prophet explains to the people that their relationship with each other reveals their true relationship with God.  They cannot say that they have a good relationship with when they have no mercy for others.  God does not require fasting.  God requires justice and mercy.
