Distilling the message of being faithful, Jesus seeks a way to teach his disciples: Do not give up! Do not lose hope! Perhaps Jesus, knowing the scope of God’s abundance says, to himself, “Ah, here it is: a story about a stubborn judge and a woman who does not give up hope.”

June 17, 2013 //  by Shannon Kelly

Ordinary Time, Proper 23, Year C

Ordinary Time, Proper 22, Year C
Scripture: Luke 17:5-10

Slaves? Well, probably not any of us. Each of us, however, has clear duties to perform. Jesus points out that it is not a big deal to simply do our duty. Our choice is whether we grumble and whine or whether we do our work with gratitude and in faith.

Choosing Whom We Will Serve

June 17, 2013 //  by Shannon Kelly
